Aisha Buhari Cup: FIFA’s Infantino, CAF’s Motsepe set for Lagos

The Aisha Buhari Invitational Women’s Football Tournament organizers have confirmed that FIFA President Gianni Infantino, CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe, FIFA General-Secretary Fatma Samoura, and other world football dignitaries will attend the six-nation tournament, which will take place in Lagos from September 14 to 20, 2021.

Women football powerhouses in Africa, including hosts Nigeria, Cameroun, Ghana, South Africa, and emerging powers Mali and Morocco, will be in attendance at the football spectacular honoring Nigeria’s First Lady, Her Excellency, Aisha Buhari.

The event’s main organizer, NFF President, CAF Executive, and FIFA Council Member Amaju Pinnick, relayed the information to the Director of Organization, Aisha Falode, who stated that the football bigwigs’ presence at the august occasion will only attest to their high regard for Nigeria’s First Lady, Her Excellency, Aisha Buhari.

“Their decision to attend the football fiesta in person is in keeping with the football body’s expansion, commercialization, marketing, and rebranding programs for women’s football, which has recently seen issues impacting the game receive global attention at every forum.
