On Monday, the State Security Service failed to present IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu in court for the resumption of his trial.
The lawyer defending the Buhari government in the case, M.B. Abubakar, cited logistical reasons for Mr. Kanu’s disobedience of a court order, which said that Mr Kanu should be brought back to court on July 26 to hear his bail plea.
Mr. Abubakar stated that the government was willing to allow the trial to continue even if Mr. Kanu was not present.
However, Justice Binta Nyako announced the adjournment till October 21st, 2021 as Nnamdi Kanu was also absent from court.
