BREAKING: Pres. Buhari to meet Security Chiefs over growing insecurity

Must read

On Thursday, President Muhammadu Buhari will meet with Nigeria’s security leaders in the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, said this in a statement on Tuesday.

Last Friday, President Muhammadu Buhari returned to Abuja after spending 18 days in London, where he attended an education summit and underwent health exams.

According to Adesina, “the security forces have in the past few weeks taken the battle more robustly to insurgents, bandits, and all other criminals troubling the country, and they are now surrendering in droves.

“The President will be brought up to speed on developments at the Thursday meeting, while plans to bring a decisive end to the challenges will be formulated”.

Several militants of Boko Haram and bandits have surrendered to the Nigerian Army, asking with Nigerians to forgive them. However, a bigger portion of the country has demanded that they be prosecuted and imprisoned right now.
